What we collect
- A random install id. The app makes one the first time it opens. It counts free searches and links a Pro subscription to your install. It is not tied to your name, email or device identifiers.
- Your location, only while you search. It is used to find nearby restaurants for that search and is not stored.
- Your search settings and any request you type. Typed requests are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to turn them into search settings. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic processes them on our behalf and does not train models on them.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google and RevenueCat. We see whether an install has Pro, never your payment details.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites. There is no account to create.
Keeping and deleting data
Search counts are kept for the current day. Deleting the app removes its install id; a reinstall starts fresh.
Children
BiteLoco is not directed at children under 13.
